Rajiv Gandhi Kala Mahavidyalaya,Patan was established by Adarsh Gramvikas Bahu-Uddeshiy Sanstha Nandappa Ta. Jiwati District Chandrapur in 2009 in a Own building of college. college having its own building and play ground that includes a land area of about 4 acres, has grown to a strength of about 120 students. This college is affiliated to Gondwana University, Gadchiroli.
This is the Arts college in Patan Tahsil Jiwati and District Chandrapur located in village area district Chandrapur (Maharashtra). It has been started and run by Adarsh Gramvikas Bahu-Uddeshiy Sanstha Nandappa Ta. Jiwati District Chandrapur. This private organization has been engaged in education field for the last two decades to provide proper and true knowledge to the tribal and poor students of this remote area in Chandrapur district

The vision is to confer the educational attitude among the tribal and backward community residing in and around the Jiwati Tahsil, so that, blind faith, superstitions, backwardness and poverty may be eliminated and the tribal and backward students will develop Social skills among them and nurture the community with their excellence .
There is a good rapport between the students and the faculty as well as the other staff members. The College outreaches to the widest range of students from backward as well as remote tribal area. The college is committed to provide excellence in education and pursuit of knowledge through the learning in academic and extracurricular activities, developing strong moral values and sound physical ability.
The institution is committed to empowering the students to think independently; to develop moral and ethics values, to make every student well-disciplined and professionally skilled, to make aware of environmental issues, women sensitization and human rights.

Principal Message
Welcome to all the newly admitted freshers.
This is the Arts college, in Patan, tehsil Jiwati District Chandrapur. The dream to establish the Arts college in this remote tribal and Backward area came true in the year 2009 by the founder of Prerna Shikshan Mandal, Sindewahi and great visionary Shri Pandurang Jadhav.
The main objective is to provide quality education at under graduate level to tribal, backward and downtrodden students of the region, so that blind faith, superstitions, backwardness and poverty may be eliminated.
The students must follow all the rules strictly in and outside the college, otherwise disciplinary action will be taken. The students must come to college in the provided uniform. The uniform is available in the college.
Various committees are framed to ensure smooth functioning of different activities in the college. The students are provided with all types of facilities required to get good education. However, in case of any problem they are free to communicate with senior teachers or committee members. If the problem is not solved then Principal of the institution will enter into the matter to solve it.
